As a civilian contractor you are not required to enlist, wear a uniform or go through boot camp. You are able to care for our military and their families without any of these requirements.

We do our best to keep our job postings current. However, some jobs are filled very quickly. For example, we may commit to running an ad for the upcoming publication, and before the ad can run, we find a candidate.

No! Any provider that meets the qualifications for the open position can be considered as a candidate. Military experience is always helpful, but not a requirement.
We are looking for at least a year commitment because of the extensive credentialing process. The contract will keep going after that with yearly renewals.

Yes, you need to be a United States citizen to receive security clearance to work on base.

The credentialing process for the base is extensive. Plan on approximately 60 days for the Air Force and 90 days for the Navy. If you have anything in your background that will slow down credentialing, please let us know up front.

Here is a list of items/supporting documents that you will need to provide once you are offered the
position and in credentialing:

  • Copy of your highest degree
  • Copies of all licenses held
  • Color copy of your driver’s license
  • Color copy of your passport or birth certificate
  • Copy of Continuing Education for the past 3 years
  • Copy of any Clinical Privileges held
  • Copy of current job description
  • Three references that have worked with you clinically within the past 2 years. One
    Supervisor & 2 peers
  • BLS (Basic Life Support for Providers)- America Heart Association or American Red Cross
    approved (must have in person portion included with online)

Immunization records including:

  •  Hep B –a positive IgG titer (blood draw)
  • Varicella – original records if you have them and a positive IgG titer (blood draw)
  • MMR – original records if you have them and a positive IgG titer (blood draw) for each
    Measles, Mumps, and Rubella
  • TDaP – Must be current within last 10 years
  • TB/PPD 2step test (two negative tests within the past year) OR Blood Assay
    (QuantiFERON Gold or Tspot)
  • FLU shot – for current season

We realize this is your goal and are happy when our contractors are offered GS positions. There are no guarantees as contract positions cannot “turn into” GS positions, but if there is an opening, we have seen contractors offered these positions time and time again and work with our contractor and the base for a smooth transition.
